5 years ago in what would prove to be an Epoch in the world of film exhibition, the Oscarbate Film Collective was loosed from the bowels of mama earth. It began with a simple mission statement – “we probably havent thought this through, but we aren’t going to listen to the cop in our heads…we have takes and we are goin to give them, with or without anyone else input. Lack of oxygen meets investigative reporting meets the guests you know and love, meets fun recommendations meets hard driven attitudes, you don’t wanna miss”

All these years later, after many moon cycles of equal parts evolution and devolution, hugs, tears, fights, breakups, divorces, marriages, trial separations, love, passion, vigor, idiocy, spurts of brilliance, ill-advised musings, big-hearted pleas for a better world, and more weed, cigs, and beer than any two good ol’ Midwest boyz are equipped to handle – – we’ve emerged on the other side, wiser and more peaceful than ever.

To celebrate this tumultuous journey and our continued reign as Chicago’s chaotic malcontent programmers, we invite you for a night full of libations (from our good buds at Hopewell), delectable tunes (from our dude “forgot his name DJ”), and the Trust Fall to end them all. We’ll be sharing with you what is quite possibly the most “us” movie there’s ever been. Join us for a therapeutic extravaganza meticulously designed to send us all into the stratosphere of cinematic ecstasy with a much-needed stop off in The Big Easy along the way…
