Highs & Lows: Serious Games I-IV & Small Soldiers
Presented by the Oscarbate Film Collective
Ever since the inception of Highs & Lows over 6 years ago with our buddy Mike Perry (of Hollywood Entertainment notoriety) the idea of taking two seemingly at-odds films and placing them next to one another, has been the highlight of the Oscarbate programming career.
It is with great pleasure to announce that we are getting back in the swing of things and re-launching the patented Oscarbate double-feature (for one night). In lineage with some of our past classics like CROSSROADS + MORVERN CALLAR and FREDDY GOT FINGERED + THE IDIOTS, this double feature is aimed to scramble.
Combining the visions of Joe Dante and Harun Farocki is something we had wanted to do for awhile, and we are glad we are able to do it now. We can save you time by not explaining the link between these two, and instead allow you to experience their shared commonalities together as an audience (very little subtlety here).
Very special thanks to the Harun Farocki Institute
