Code of Conduct
As an independent theater, the Davis strives to maintain community through film culture. We believe in the power of film to generate understanding and empathy; to educate and inspire; and to illuminate the human experience. While we want to allow everyone to participate in the shared experience of going to the movies, we do not tolerate any behavior that disrupts others.
The Davis is committed to maintaining an environment that is safe, respectful, and free of harassment and discrimination. This Code of Conduct applies to everyone at our place of business. Audiences, staff, vendors, press, investors, and anyone else associated with the Davis will all be held to the same standards. We reserve the right to remove or ban any person from the theater who does not adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Although safety can be different for each individual related to personal preferences or expressed identities, we define it to mean an environment that is free of harassment and discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender performance, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, class, age, or ability. Harassment, threatening behavior, and violence will not be tolerated.
When you are at the theater and are witness to harassment, discrimination, or any other form of inappropriate behavior, please let the nearest staff member know immediately and management will step in to address the situation. Additionally, please contact us if you wish to file a formal complaint and we will investigate and asses the situation thoroughly. Please remember that notifying the Davis does not constitute or replace a notification to local law enforcement.
Age Policy
In compliance with the rules set by the Motion Picture Association, children 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult for all shows. No one under the age of 17 will be admitted to an R-rated movie unless accompanied by an adult. The Davis Theater reserves the right to ask for proper identification to verify the age of a patron before selling a ticket and admitting them to a show.
